Other Stuff

I volunteer with a few animal advocacy groups in and around Vancouver. In particular, I'm a founding director of Liberation BC. For information on our upcoming events, click here. If I could get everyone in the world to read one webpage, it would be our page on fish and seafood.
I'm currently on the executive committee of CUPE local 2278 (UBC's TA union), and have been since 2005. Since 2006, I have been chair of the grievance committee, and I served as co-president from 2007 to 2008. We are currently bargaining a new contract, and I chair our bargaining committee.
As of January 2011, I've taken up go. What a beautiful game! I'm still not very good, but I'm gradually getting better. Look me up on OGS: my username is "rhubarb".
